Where to get the Demo
The Demo has its own Steam page, separate from the full game. The free Demo was released on September 14, 2026.
The launch announcement says the Demo will no longer be offered after 1.0 releases. Do not treat that as a promise that an already installed copy will keep working offline.
What the Demo includes
Its store description lists three starting scenarios plus hardcore play. The Water Merchant setup includes water testing and purification equipment. The Demo also includes the Toolbox and machine upgrades, and the October Aquafarmer update adds the Retired Aquafarmer upgrade to Wild’s Network.
The full 1.0 scenario list is different: see starting scenarios before choosing which version to play.
Moving a save to 1.0
The developers say Demo saves are compatible with the full game, while strongly recommending a fresh save to avoid possible bugs.
If you want to preserve an existing run, keep a backup before changing versions. Compatibility does not mean every old run will be free of problems.
What about mods?
Demo mods are likely to be incompatible with the full release. Check each mod’s release version and update instructions rather than assuming the Demo package can be reused unchanged.
